Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H, commonly referred to as "Hyatt"), headquartered in Chicago, USA, is a global hotel group founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957. Hyatt’s core businesses include hotel operations, licensing, timeshare operations, owned golf courses, and gaming operations, among others. It boasts 29 hotel and resort brands, such as Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, and Andaz. Thomas J. Pritzker serves as the Chairman of the Group's Board of Directors.

In 1957, Jay Pritzker purchased the Hyatt House motor hotel near Los Angeles International Airport and thus established the "Hyatt" brand. In 1962, Hyatt Hotels Corporation went public. In 1967, the first Hyatt hotel opened in Atlanta. In 1969, the first Hyatt hotel outside the United States — Hyatt Regency Hong Kong — officially commenced operations. In 1972, Hyatt became the fifth largest hotel chain in the world. In 1980, Hyatt introduced two brands, Grand Hyatt and Park Hyatt; two years later, it established Hyatt Hotels Corporation. In 1996, Hyatt opened the Grand Victoria Casino in Indiana. In 2006, the Hyatt Place brand was launched in Lombard, Illinois. In November 2009, Hyatt was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2015, the first Hyatt Centric hotel opened in Chicago. In 2019, Hyatt partnered with BTG Homeinns Hotel Group to launch the UrCove by Hyatt brand in China; in October 2023, it signed an agreement with Singapore's Perennial Real Estate Holdings to establish a presence at the Hangzhou Golden Finger Complex. As of March 2024, Hyatt had more than 1,300 hotels, all-inclusive hotels and resorts across over 78 countries and regions on six continents. In June 2025, Hyatt acquired a stake in Playa for USD 2.6 billion.
